Think TED Talk meets epic music festival. Then add in some of the world’s finest comedic icons. Now add the best cuisine you’ve ever imagined. Last weekend’s OZY fest, created by former MSNBC anchor Carlos Watson, now CEO and co-founder of OZY, brought the worlds of food, thought, and music together for a sensational experience that indulged all of the senses – and we were so honored to be a part of it.
Referred to as “the future of festivals,” this year’s OZY Fest took place at Central Park’s Summer Stage and included guest appearances from Jason Derulo, Samantha Bee, Van Jones, Malcolm Gladwell, Katie Couric, Eddie Huang, RuPaul, London Kaye, Mark Cuban, Dr. Jill Biden, Kamau, and James Park – just to name a few. It’s the only place where Jason Derulo and Malcolm Gladwell would ever purposefully share the stage – and trust us, it’s incredible.
This year’s theme was “Where the World Can and Should be, Heading into the Next Decade.” So, naturally, we brought the most cutting-edge cuisine possible. Servicing the VIP areas, Backstage Talent, and Crew, our CxRA team served Mini Bacon Cheeseburgers, Ramen Burgers with Shoyu Sauce, Portobello Sliders with Vermont Cheddar and Garlic Aioli, Grilled Masa Cakes, and so much more.
