Who would have thought that such a cheerful looking – not to mention delicious – dessert could cause such a hoopla?! Just as the tasty treats have been a mainstay at parties over years, so have the questions behind them. And we’re happy to shed some light on this very important issue.

Simply put, macaroon is the English translation of the French word macaron. So both spellings and pronunciations are correct. Which one you choose confirms only whether or not you’re feeling particularly francophilian.

Call them what you want, we love the colorful confections – both to eat and to match perfectly to your party’s palate. With so many fun flavors to choose from, our favorites change on the regular. Currently on Tim’s table: Salted Caramel and Strawberry Poppy Seed.
